Abbas Byakagaba, the director of Uganda’s police, anti-terrorism unit announced Yesterday. He said that al-Shaabab insurgents had entered the country and were planning attacks while Ugandans gathered to watch Saturday’s Champion’s League final. He added that June 7th, Martyrs Day celebrations could also be the terrorist group’s targets.
Last week the police annonced that al-Shaabab had plans to assassinate Uganda public officials, including the President.
