The South African Police Service on Friday said it was closely monitoring international developments following the shooting of Bin Laden. They have law enforcers on high alert to terrorists attacks, SAPS spokeswoman Colonel Tummi Shai said that all of the country’s security networks are monitoring the current situation.
Several of South Africa’s Islamic organisations were angered by the killing of al-Qaeda master, Osama bin Laden. Africa is the home of a growing number of al-Qaeda linked terrorists organization, expecially in the horn of Africa, namely the ruthless al-Shabaab.
